GCSNA Rainy Day
One thing about me is that rain isn’t gonna stop me from looking at birds. Or be outside for any reason, really. And since I work at a natural area, there’s an extra perk of spending my lunch periods wandering around and taking photos. A coworker and I went on a quick excursion to see which migration visitors we could find, and we were not disappointed because there were birds everywhere. Painted bungints, flycatchers, kestrels, painted buntings, cardinals, painted buntings, caracara and… more… painted buntings… Jesus; where are they all coming from? There was a WILD number of painted buntings.
A highlight that made the whole trip worthwhile was the lazuli bunting. Thank GOD my coworker was there because I would never have noticed it. So shoutout to Lisa for being the best birder and shoutout to Sony for making a solidly weather resistant camera.
I also realized during this whole adventure that I need a little longer lens. Now accepting donations.
