I’ve never seen so much red dirt in my life.
These roadrunners have zero fear. I blame campers. They’re probably feeding them spam and marshmallows. Sugared up little asshole birds.
The roadrunners are seriously starting to creep me out. Never noticed how dinosaur-esque they are before. I’ve seen enough Jurassic Park to know this probably won’t end well.
A lizard (Eastern Collared I think?) is giving me the stink eye. I don’t want to fight a lizard today. Also, he seems to love this rock. Good for you, buddy. You can keep this rock.
That doe is looking rough. Seasonal molt? Parasites? The world may never know.
It is absolutely pouring and this lightning is aggressive. My kid is freaking out. Pretty sure he’s never going camping with me again.
11:15pm - Rangers came poking at my tent. Road’s flooded so we’re stuck here. They assured us we are safe. From the rain maybe, still don’t trust those roadrunners.
I’ve now also never seen so much red mud in my life. I’m never getting it all out of everything. This is my life now.
