I have never felt so unnerved by a bird in my entire life. This roadrunner is like a tiny dinosaur, and I’ve seen Jurassic Park enough to know that human-dinosaur interactions do NOT go well.

Thankfully, there was a huge storm the first night that forced all the birds to seek shelter. It also flooded the road and turned everything to mud, but it was gorgeous. Palo Duro is a 10/10 camping and wildlife viewing area.
